Southern Star and Signature 7 Softball Showcase Details
NEW UNIQUE FORMAT FOR 2026
All Games will be 2-hour time limit or 7-Innings. All teams will be scheduled to play 5 games. All teams will play 3 showcase-style 2 hour time limit games in a round robin format. Teams will be seeded based on their results from the 3 pool games. They will play 2 more 7 Inning games in a modified bracket play.
Saturday/Sunday events - 3 showcase games on Saturday, 2 bracket games on Sunday
Friday/Saturday/Sunday events - 1 showcase game on Friday, 2 showcase games on Saturday and 2 bracket games on Sunday/
Costs
The Entry Fee for each of the events is $1,299. $200 deposit at the time of registration and $1.099 due 14 days prior to the event
Awards
The 1st and 2nd place teams in each championship bracket will receive individual awards.
Metric Testing
As part of the entry fee, each team will be scheduled for a metric testing session during a break in round-robin play. These tests will be conducted under the supervision of a group of college coaches.
Each player will be tested in the following areas:
- Overhand Throwing Velocity
- Bat Exit Velocity
- 20-Yard / 60-Foot Dash Time
Results from these tests will be provided to the team manager of each team.
Housing
All teams are required to book their hotel and motel accommodations for players and coaches through Grouphousing. A link for booking will be provided for each event.
Local teams that do not need overnight accommodations may request a waiver for the housing requirement.
Teams that wish to "opt out" of the housing requirement can do so by paying a $250 Opt-Out Fee.
Please Note:
This fee is not considered "extra revenue." The money is used to help cover the cost of hotel rooms for college coaches attending the event. When teams stay at our hotel partners, they help provide rooms for the coaches. If a team opts out, the fee is used to secure accommodations for the coaches.
Admission Charges for Spectators
To help offset the rising costs of hosting these events, the following admission fees will be implemented:
- Friday/Saturday/Sunday Events
- $20 for a weekend pass
- $10 per day
- Saturday/Sunday Events
- $15 for a weekend pass
- $10 per day
For events held in open/non-gated venues, a Team Gate Fee of $150 will apply. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED ON EVENT PAGE.
Refund Policy
Deposit and Payment Policy
- A $200 deposit is required from each team to secure a spot in any event.
- The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to the event.
- Teams must be paid in full to be included in the event schedule.
Refund Policy:
- No refunds will be issued after the 14-day period before the event.
- Teams withdrawing 14 or more days prior to the event will receive a full refund.
Weather-related cancellations:
- Once the event begins, there will be no refunds due to contracts with host sites and umpires.
- Teams that do not play at least 3 games will receive a 25% credit toward a future event.
- If an event is cancelled more than 24 hours prior to the event due to weather, teams will receive a full refund.
